Marketplace Integration


Marketplaces can integrate with AtaraPay using the Business Seller role or the Marketplace Operator one.

The differences between the two can be found below;

SNUsing the Business Seller RoleUsing the Marketplace Operator (MO) Role
1.Requires registration of the Business Seller account, select role "Business Seller" here.Requires registration of the Marketplace Operator account, select role " Marketplace Operator" here.
2.The service providers of the marketplace do not need to create AtaraPay accountsThe service provider of the marketplace needs to create AtaraPay seller account.
3.The AtaraPay dashboard of the Business Seller does not provide information of all the service providers associated to it.The AtaraPay dashboard of the Marketplace Operator provides information of all the sellers associated to it.
4.The service providers are associated to the Business Seller via the Service Provider payout API to facilitate payout to the service provider at point of acceptance by the buyer.The service providers (AtaraPay registered sellers) are associated to the Marketplace Operator in two ways via the Service Provider payout API to 1) Associate the seller to the Marketplace Operator and 2) Facilitate payout to the service provider at point of acceptance by the buyer.
5.Ordering is managed from the Business Seller’s account.Ordering is managed from each associated Seller’s account (not the MO’s account).
6.The escrow flow is shown below;
  1. Buyer selects the good or service of Service provider A from the Marketplace
  2. Pays into escrow using the profile of the AtaraPay Business Seller
  3. The Business Seller completes delivery from their account or automatically via the Complete Delivery API
  4. The buyer accepts via the app
  5. The Business seller and Service provider A are paid using the Service Provider payout API
The escrow flow is shown below;
  1. Buyer selects the good or service of Service provider A (AtaraPay registered seller) from the Marketplace
  2. Pays into escrow using the profile of Service provider A
  3. Service provider A completes delivery from his/ her AtaraPay account or automatically via the Complete Delivery API
  4. The buyer accepts via the app
  5. Service provider A and MO are paid using the Service Provider payout API
7The transaction details can be found on the following AtaraPay dashboards; the buyer and the Business Seller.The transaction details can be found on the following AtaraPay dashboards; the buyer, Service provider A and Marketplace Operator.
8The service provider has no AtaraPay dashboard.The service provider is a registered AtaraPay seller and so operates his/ her own dashboard.
